O mais novo título da Treyarch tem o objetivo de renovar a franquia ao apostar em um cenário futurista para atrair jogadores mais novos.
Call of Duty: Black Ops 2 se passa no século XXI, porém em uma suposta Guerra Fria entre os Estados Unidos e China em um não tão longínquo ano de 2025.
Com poderosas armas de guerra e um avançado desenvolvimento tecnológico tornaram o planeta em um campo de batalha em escala mundial.
O jogo marca a estréia de um novo sistema de esquadrões de combate, entitulado de Strikerforce e oferece uma nova forma de controle de soldados em batalha.
O modo multiplayer online da série também foi reformulado para trazer uma cama extra de personalização dos jogadores e manter um balanço entre eles.
Também teremos um modo zumbi que retorna em alto estilo, e traz a opção "Tranzit" onde poderemos fazer um tour pelo interior dos Estados Unidos destruído durante a guerra.
